Continuing the Fight

On October 17th, the American Cancer Society and WSU have teamed together for the Shock Cancer Walk at Koch Arena, beginning at 5:00.

We have formed a team, the Shox for Sherry Jackson Brown, in honor of such a wonderful lady.

Although we formed this team in memory of Sherry, I personally walk for my Uncle Bernie, Uncle Louis, and Aunt Mary. Because of cancer, my father is the only brother of a family of seven. He has lost his older and younger brother. And Mary was married to my Uncle Louie, leaving behind three adult children and four grandchildren.

So, to fight for Sherry, Bernie, Louis, and Mary we band together to walk, to raise awareness, to give voice to those that have gone before us.
