In the case of good books, the point is not how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you.

Mortimer Adler

I want to ride my bicycle

The St. Patrick's Day parade is March 14th and I can hardly wait. Again, we will be in the parade with a host of bicycle enthusiasts. We have already hit the discount $1 baskets at Target to load up on shamrock and keg beads, Irish flags for the bikes, green bowlers, shamrock earrings...

Last year was too much fun.  ( to see a few more pics from St. Paddy's 08, see the gallery)

And, this year promises to be even better. We hope to start at the Donut Whole and ride west to Delano. After the parade it's off to The Shamrock, where else, for Guiness and Irish stew.

This hint of spring weather always makes we yearn to ride my bicycle. Maybe after a little writing I'll do just that. There's nothing like a bike ride to put things into perspective.

In honor of spring and bicycles and beer, here's a little commercial from New Belgium Brewery to get into the spirit of things.
